Hazel P. Wooster (1924-2014) attended Howard University, received her bachelor’s degree from West Virginia State University, and received a master’s degree in special education from Marshall University. She taught at Ferguson Elementary, Mary Ingles, Chandler, and Shawkey, when she was awarded "Special Education Teacher of the Year." A former curriculum specialist, she attended St. Paul Baptist Church.
