Arthur S. Siegel (1913-1978) studied with artists László Moholy-Nagy and Gyorgy Kepes at the New Bauhaus: American School of Design (now the IIT Institute of Design) in Chicago. During the Great Depression, he took photos for the New Deal Farm Security Administration and during World War II for the U.S. Office of War Information. An early practitioner of color Kodachrome film, he was an acclaimed photographer in Chicago.
