Seneca Caverns is a commercial cave in Germany Valley (Pendleton County). Opened to the public in 1930, it's one of the four main tourist caves in West Virginia. The entrance is located behind the gift shop.

The tour covers about 500 feet of passage, with formations throughout. The cave is beautifully decorated with many calcite formations, including stalagmites (rising from the floor), stalactites (hanging from the ceiling), and cave coral and flowstone mounds. Many are a stunning pure white color.

The cave formed in limestone layers that were bent upward along a large geologic structure called the Wills Mountain Anticline.

The property is also home to the Stratosphere Balloon Cave, which was described in Bishop Francis Asbury’s journal in 1781.
