Marshall "Little Sleepy" Glenn was a star athlete, coach, and doctor from Elkins. He played football and basketball at WVU, where he was team captain in both sports. Glenn later coached basketball (1934-38) and football (1937-40) at WVU, even while studying medicine in the summers.

At WVU, his basketball teams had a 61-46 record, and his football teams went 14-12-3. In 1938, his team upset Texas Tech 7-6 in the Sun Bowl. He also introduced the T-formation to WVU football.

During World War II, Glenn served as a Navy flight surgeon in the Pacific. After sports, he became a doctor in Charles Town and died in a car accident. He was added to the WVU Sports Hall of Fame in 1992.

He got his nickname because his older brother, also an athlete, was known as "Sleepy" Glenn.
